Daniel Doherty of GDC (Irl) Ltd appeared on Highland Radio today (18 March) and spoke about the 'Avoid a Housing Headache' campaign |
Now it has been endorsed by, and will be published in, The 2011 Irish Property Buyers Handbook. According to its editor Carol Tallon, “this book deals with buying at an uncertain time, navigating the economic fallout and understanding the new opportunities in a dramatically changed marketplace. In it, prospective property buyers will be introduced to new strategies to help source their ideal property at prices well below market value. Sources of off-market properties will be investigated along with more traditional sources including the 24-point Checklist from GDC (Irl) Ltd which promotes best practice for everyone involved in the property market.”
GDC (Irl) Ltd devised the campaign in response to the numbers of ghost estates, incomplete estates and completed estates with no Estate Management procedures in place throughout the country. It also seeks to separate the poorly managed developments from those that are current and live and that meet extremely high standards of quality and finish.
The checklist has been separated into four parts and queries four key aspects of the buying process: the property; the management company; general considerations and the developer.
